New Zealand is the perfect place for exploring on a budget and with a Freedom camper you can easily book and plan your backpacker holiday to suit your personal itinerary. New Zealand is a land of contrasts with plenty to see and discover and you can make your trip as adventure thrilled or tranquil as you desire. In just one day behind the wheel of your campavan it is possible to wander from fiords to coasts, from trout-filled lakes to snow-capped Alps, lush native forests to sleepy townships, golden sandy beaches to grassy parks.

Freedom understand that once you arrive in New Zealand that you are keen to hit the road and experience all that this country has to offer, and for this reason Freedom's North Island depot is based near Auckland International and Domestic Airport. And Freedom's South Island company is also conveniently situated near Christchurch International and Domestic Airport.

All clients are special to Freedom, and since 1983 the company has been dedicated to catering for the New Zealand tourist industry. Freedom are happy to arrange airport, hotel and motel pick ups along with individual attention when you are filling out contracts. Additionally they can provide maps and brochures and are always happy to provide assistance with any questions about New Zealand or concerns you may have before you get on the road.

Freedom Campers has chosen The Royal Albatross as their logo to represent its freedom of flight. This magnificent sea bird epitomises the endurance of Freedom customers who travel vast distances to experience the breath-taking and often rugged natural beauty of New Zealand.

New Zealand has numerous camping grounds, caravan and campervan parks of high standard situated throughout the country. Almost all campgrounds offer full kitchen facilities, BBQ area, TV lounge as well as washing machines and dryers. Visitors are impressed by the cleanliness of shower and toilet blocks and the comprehensive facilities on offer. To get away from it all, Department of Conservation (DOC) camps can be found in remote areas of New Zealand and provide beautiful camp settings but do not provide shower, toilet or kitchen facilities. Freedom's friendly staff will provide you with 2 separate maps showing you the Kiwi Camps, HAPNZ and the Top Ten Group of Camps. These show you the positioning of the camps which allows you to easily plan your itinerary
